350 legend or 458 socom. Because why not?
I would look at a 6.5G, or 300 blk. Both have their benefits. I have a 300 blk that does the job but 200 with suppers is my max. Maybe a 12.5" 300 pistol style for mobility and a good 1-6 or 1-8 power with a BDC style radical on it. I mostly archery hunt so I out of habit set up even with a rifle in the woods as if I am archery hunting so always looking at pinch points, crossings and junctions. Also hunting the entry point to food sources like plots. For my set ups it works great.

If you're comfortable building, go over to 65grendel forums, sign up, and get in on their group buys for some good deals. Faxon and Ballistic Advantage both make good 6.5 Grendel barrels. I have a 12" Faxon that I use for deer and hog.
Sons Of Liberty Gun Works has black-coated, stainless steel barrels, chambered in 6.5 Grendel, in a few different lengths. Those are Ballistic Advantage barrels, made to SOLGW’s specs.

I’ve done lowers but never messed with a upper before. What length barrel should I go with? I won’t be making any shots past 200 yards
