New Jersey sues Sig (multiple threads)

"According to the complaint, Sig Sauer made numerous attempts to fix the problem, blaming it first on an extractor pin, then a factory mold defect and finally an improper coating on the barrels."

Sounds like more than bad ammo or operator error.

Proof that higher cost doesnt mean a better gun necessarily. That said I love my West German P226 and its a great host. My Glock rides shotgun on the nightstand though.

How many departments across America use Sig? How many have these issues? I've seen and read review, after review, after review of the 226 and 229 being top shelf quality, all the time. Every manufacturer has a problem from time to time, but these are some of the best handguns in the world, IMO. And I don't even own a Sig, so a fan boy I am not.
