Skunk Ape Tree Stands is a Georgia based company with a new ladder stand just hitting the market this hunting season.

Skunk Ape Tree Stands provides the most innovative ladder stand on the market. Our patented design allows for the hunter to sit, safely in a padded and swiveling seat which facilitates utilization of the 360 degree shooting rail. Getting the hunter’s back off of the tree and in the middle of the shooting rail allows for a longer and more comfortable hunt, whether bow or firearm. Our design is environmentally friendly in that all four points of connectivity with the tree do not cut, screw or bolt to the tree. Our purpose with this universal ladder stand is to make the hunting experience better and more productive for the hunter.

Looks like it either slides or locks into place?

The seat is on a pivot (bolts through the frame and seat). It will lift up into a vertical position leaving ample room for you to pass through once you get to the top of the ladder. Once you step onto the foot platform, simply turn around and lower the seat, open the chair and sit back. We have several videos on our website that show this and how it works with the seatbelt and locking pin for while you are seated.

    Thank you!

It raises and lowers. There is a locking pin to lock the seat to the frame when you are seated. We have a few videos that show this on our website if you would like to see more about the stand and how it functions.

    Thank you!

The seat is on a pivot. It raises up and comes to a stop at vertical giving you the room to ascend into the stand via the ladder where the seat is shown in the down position. We have a short video on our homepage showing this feature and the safety features that go along with it at www.skunkapetreestands.com. Thanks!

There is a locking pin on the right side (as you are seated in the stand) that goes through the frame and seat, locking it in place while you are seated.
