New members selling/buying/trading etiquette

I have a question, as a New Guy. How do you get positive feedback so that you can purchase something? Most members do not even respond to PMs. I am a stand up guy, but this is a hard gig to break into.
Get involved with some discussions so people see you are not some new member scammer. People will be more relaxed selling to you if they see you involved on the site.

Sadly , we’ve had a lot of new people join that are young and lack etiquette. They’ve made guys become cautious. Personally I watch and look at how they interact in forums , postings and such. I’ll get a feel for them that way. Just a thought. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Conversely I sent a PM to a guy Friday night with over 125 feedbacks and a negative. Doesn’t have the decency to answer. As a rule I won’t deal with a negative feedback person. He reinforced that thought. Become active on here posting . Also ! Confirm everything thru the PM system ! Then exchange numbers. Keeps everything cool.

Thought of something else. A suggestion. Become a supporter . It’s cheap and will give you a bit of cred as you’ve got some skin in the game. Thinking and checking back , almost everyone I thought was an a$$ , was not a supporter !!! Including the aforementioned person !

Edit : The way you’ve handled yourself in here , I wouldn’t hesitate to deal with you .

so you get feedback and havent done a deal?
No, I received feedback from armyengineer93.55355 a few weeks back, as he was kind enough to take a chance on a new member. I have reached out several times, about different items, but I never get a reply, and I was wondering how I can gain feedback/trust from established members.

The best way to get positive feedback is to pay full asking price for a rifle I am selling. And, you drive to me. I can, without a doubt, guarantee you positive feedback!

It’s not just new folks. I was talking trade with a guy last night. He’s been around for awhile and has some very nice gear. I semi offered up a $3000 rifle for a $2600 pistol. It was a decent conversation until I tod him the $1000 worth of optics weren’t included. Then it was crickets.

‘No’s’ don’t offend me. But ghosting is for sissies.
