New Odt Website

Don't know if this has been said, too busy to read thread sorry, but one feature that I do miss is the dimming/transluscent of forums that have had no updates since my last login. Currently even if I come back 30 seconds later it appears as if every forum has been updated. I find myself spending quite a bit of time wading through stuff that I didn't have to before....not that wasting I MEAN SPENDING time on The ODT is a problem when available.

Something I've noticed and wanted to share my thoughts. We must be signed in to see a member's feedback scores. No harm, no foul for all of us who have been here and done this, but for a first timer visiting the site I believe it is an added bonus for them to be able to see we have a feedback system. It was the single deciding factor for me to register an account here, along with all the cool items listed. I first noticed it while scrolling through the classifieds and seeing the scores posted with the avatars. I think it does a disservice to the site for new visitors, possible future great traders, to come in and not be able to see we have a feedback system, not to mention it could dissuade potential riff raff from coming here and wasting time for those who are on the level. Again, the first time I ever visited here it was the feedback scores that showed me this was a serious site that looked out for its members and the traders were people of their word. It is a definite attraction. Why hide it? Just a suggestion.

i just cant seem to get into the new site. i used to check it 3 or 4 times a day. i think this is the first time i have been on this week.. oh well, at least i may save some cash and maybe my marriage.

I miss the search in a forum feature to limit the search to just the header or the entire content and also what happens to the forum search for the forum you are in?
Just click the "more" tab when you go to search.

THIS IS A RANT! I haven't got the time to read all the previous posts, so maybe everything is all roses with everyone. Frankly, from my perspective, so far this "change" has been a huge pain-in-the-a**. I can't even figure out how to see my sent PM's. I'm not even sure if my PM's are sent. And when it comes right down to it, I really don't give 2 sh**s about whether someone "likes" something I post.
Given, I'm an old man; I spend every day dealing with with the latest and greatest new digital advances in computer technology, but when I come home and want to do something simple, like buy/sell guns and accessories, or look at posts in different forums, the last thing I want to do is put up with this BS. Sorry, I'm sure all you youngsters think it the bomb, and someday, hopefully, I'll figure enough of it out, but d**n; I have to put up with "just-when-I-get-it-figured-out-it-they-change-every-d**n-thing-about-it" every day at work. To the people I think I "messaged" or "conversed" or "PM'd" or whatever the h*ll else I've tried to do over the last few days, I hope it's worked. I'm pretty sure it's cost me some deals. All I can say now is I need a big "unlike", or whatever-the-he** button to press a few hundred times about this crap.
END OF RANT.
