New optic for my ar

Alright guys I need your help, I've currently got a Daniel defense 14.5", it's currently got an aimpoint pro on it, I like it but I'm ready for something with some zoom. I've been looking at trijicon acogs for a while now and can get one for 900 brand new. But I've been told there's better options out there, I checked out eotechs vudu scope and liked it, and I've seen a trijicon accupoint and liked it too. I'm not gonna do any long range shooting with this gun so big zoom isn't something I want. What would you guys recommend?

11 ounces I believe; I would put it on an ultralight mount and dial it down to 2 after I sight it in. If you get bored with 2x you can experiment.

I have an early leupold cqt 4 1x3 variable on my spikes and really like it. I keep it set on no magnification but it is easily dialed to 3x. Keeps zero, qd mounts, rugged. As I said this was an early version, I bought it probably 10 years ago. I am sure there are better specific scopes out there now but the concept is a solid one, and well fitted to the AR platform.

My advice would be to get a Primary Arms or Vortex 1x6. Thats the route I went when I got tired of my red dot.

For the price of the ACOG I would look at either the VUDU or Trijicon 1-6 or 1-8.

I Have a Viper PST 1-4x24 with MRAD and love it. Hard to beat for the price

That's the plan, I really want the acog, but I just don't know the advantages to it over a trijicon 1-4 scope

Ive had both, and if I planned on keeping everything up close I would get the ACOG, You can still train yourself to use it as a red dot.
