Helping a neighbor out with his ‘73 Karmann Ghia. He’s having some trouble getting fuel to the filter. He swapped fuel tanks, ran fine for a bit, then no more go juice.

Maybe a clogged line? Except he can syphon fuel using his sucking skills. Linched line under the tank?

Oh well, don’t know much about these, but looks very simple. Cool little cars.

You should be able to just crank it if the pump is good. Squirt a little fuel in the carb. Does it have spark? There is a filter where the fuel line goes into the fuel tank. Sometimes they collapse and do not allow full fuel flow. It flows slowly but collapses when the pump is pulling hard. Had that problem a couple times on my bug. Also, it is probably a points ignition so check for corrosion on the points.
