On average, 38 children die in hot cars each year from heat-related deaths after being trapped inside motor vehicles. Even the best of parents or caregivers can unknowingly leave a sleeping baby in a car; and the end result can be injury or even death.

I haven't heard a word about the wife/mother. Are they divorced, widowed, separated? Does father have sole custody? Why have there been no references to her in any of the news stories. Nothing about her being a grieving parent, co-conspirator, at home alone, packing for a cruise.... Absolutely nothing. This really seems strange to me.

From what I've heard, the mother and father are married and live together. The guy ate breakfast with the kid at chick fil a that morning and then drove past the daycare facility to get to work. The daycare is literally five minutes from his office. He left the child in the car and went out to his car around lunchtime to put something in the backseat according to witnesses. I just can't accept this was an accident unless he is the worst father in the world. Even then he should be charged with criminal negligence. I think murder is an acceptable charge based on facts released thus far.

It's actually not BS. They had several specials on TV the past few days showing that it's actually common and USUALLY occurs when there's a change in normal routine. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, such devastating loss.
