New Smoker

My wife got me a Smokin-it Model 1 for my birthday and I am thrilled with the results. I put a butt on this morning at 6:30A and pulled it off when I got home. After a 12-hr smoke over hickory chunks it was dang tasty.

If you are in the market, these are made right here in the USA. My wife called to get a tracking number and the owner/president of the company answered and told her he would text it when he got back to the office. Sure enough, a few hours later he sent the number via text. Good folks out in TX.

Solid construction, all stainless, reasonable price, simple, and easy to use. I can’t say enough good things about it.

Looks like it's electric so you just load it up with some smoking wood chips or chunks and leave it

I like the convenience of electric but I am concerned with long term reliability and don't want to give up the autonomy of a charcoal smoker. When our neighborhood lost power for more than a day last winter, I fired up my smoker and fed not only my family but also several neighbors.
