Answering my on problem. A small amount of Kroil Oil and a bit of patience and mine works fine now. Guessing old O-rings may have had something to do with it.On a side note I just realized mine is locked on 3x so it appears I may have a problem!

Welcome Sir. I pulled my Mark 5 out of the safe just to see. My scope is the Weatherby Supreme (not sure how it compares to Premier) The focus is at the very back on it and turns several times moving roughly 1/2 inch until it hits a hard stop. Hope this helps.

WelcomeI occasionally buy, sell, or trade pistols, rifles, and shotguns. At this time I’m seeking help with an early 1970’s Weatherby Premier 3x9x40 scope. My eyes have changed over the years and I can’t remember how to unlock the focus. I’ve tried searching the internet, but have not found any answers yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated !
That might be a bit much on a 10-22. He will have fun deciding though!I was able to get my focus ring to “only” turn about half an inch. I went ahead and mounted scope on a Ruger 10/22 I bought for the grandkids. I’m not sure I like it on this little rifle, scope eyepiece seems high from stock. I need to get a grandson to shoulder it before I make my mind up.![]()
