New-to-me 1976 Colt Python 2.5”

Picked up in a trade today from Spas-12 Owner .

While it came with a replacement hammer, I’m going to clean up the current hammer for a completed bob-job.

I’m digging the worn blued finish, and that will stay. It’s possible that on down the road I’ll have it DLC’ed.

A buddy has a Tyler T-Grip adapter I’ll be picking up. I do like snazzy grips, and I’ve been looking at an assortment of available grips in ivory, sambar stag, giraffe bone, and ram’s horn.

I’ll drill out the front sight, dig a tritium bead out of an existing sight, and epoxy it into the Python’s sight.

Looking at carry rigs from Barranti, R. Grizzle, and Rusty Sherrick.

Be forewarned though, those front sights ain't easy to come by. Lol.

I can remove a tritium insert from virtually any front or rear sight, and install it in the front sight already on this Python.

I had an HK P7 rig, and one for a 4” 1911, made by R Grizzle. Great work!

Might have a hard time fitting those Smiff grips on a python.

Finished bobbing the hammer, cleaned her all up, including cleaning the grips.
