So my kids are on this pot roast kick. So I made a beef pot roast in my crock pot. Simple recipe... Beef broth, water, salt, pepper, fresh cilantro, onion powder, garlic powder, butter, Italian seasoning and Worcester sauce. This time I also added a can of cream of mushroom soup to it. I then added onions, carrots and potatoes. I did the fast 4-5 hour on high cook rate. I didn't like it as much as I do when I cook it on low for 11 hours. But I cut up about 1/2 the roast and fed the kids. So I figured I would continue cooking it on low over night. I pulled the vegetables out. It seemed like there was too much room in the pot. I went in the freezer and got a frozen chunk of venison and put it in the crock pot also. This morning, I was surprised at how well everything came out. I laid out a comparison for my kids. My two daughters made me laugh, they almost said the same thing. They stated that it made them feel weird that it was so good but it was deer meat..... then they asked for more....... My son was already gobbling it up......

Cooking all your different meat chicken, venison, pork roast, beef also, frozen in the crock pot not thawed out keeps the natural moisture inside thusly helping make the meat more tender and moist, pork roasts will retain so much moisture it will just fall apart.

just a suggestion...
