This new rule seems to have backfired on the NFL owners. They made the rule as a PR move. There is no teeth in it for players. The players were too stupid to realize it. Now a couple of the owners are virtue signaling. So more than anything, the PR move has served no purpose but to bring the controversy front and center in the off season.

Take your kids hunting or fishing instead. No kids? Try spending more time with your wife, and you may have some. No wife? Instead of spending time drunk on the couch, go out looking for one. Been divorced 4 times? Spend some time at AA meetings.

This rule is a little late and not enough.
I refuse to waste my time on this awful display of disrespect to our country and military heroes we have lost and the ones still serving today.
