Sportsbooks only won $3.2 M off of $115 M wagered? You'd expect that to be closer to $11.5 M based upon the vig alone. And if it was rigged you'd expect the house to win way more than the vig as it would be manipulated against the majority of where the money was being gambled. Apparently the Super Bowl was not rigged, or it was rigged and for some reason other than money.

Yep. Also people think that Seattle threw the game by not simply handing off to lynch like it was a sure thing. Lynch was one and 5 from the one yard line on the year. hindsight it looks like handing it to lynch is obviously the better choice but it's not as if letting Wilson have it is exactly throwing the game.

Also for that play to have been rigged Wilson would have to have been in on it. I don't see where anyone made near enough money off that play to compensate Wilson. This year the Seahawks will have to give Wilson a contract to keep him and being a back to back superbowl champ would have been worth more in negotiations than and sports book could compensate him for throwing the game. So obviously it wasn't about the money. But I'm sure gaux can come up with some new spin on things.

I managed the highest volume gun shop on the East coast back in 2006 in NJ. We had quite a few colorful characters come through the store, some of which were NFL players. Not being an NFL fan I didn't recognize most of them, but their NJ handgun permits had their occupations listed as part of the license. The player's occupation was listed as "Entertainer". lol And they all agree.
