The best 22 pistol I have ever shot is my Ruger Mark II stainless with a bull barrel. It is accurate and will just feed absolutely anything without complaint.

On the rifle side, it is impossible to go wrong with a 10/22. Best 22 rifle ever made! (Also a lot of aftermarket mods available for it to do most anything you want.)

The cool thing about the bull barrel on mine is that it feels much more similar to a full-sized pistol. I could say that it is about the same weight as my Glock 19 when fully loaded. The extra weight helps stability-but I like the feel. Just an all-around solid gun. (Mine also has a scope mount on top so I can use various optics if I like.)
