Always felt pretty confident until the day I stumbled upon a 450+ pound black bear that didn’t immediately run away like all the other have. He just stood there 35 or so yards away, looking at me like ”what you want little guy” but when I cranked a 556 round past him that smacked a tree he decided to move along…still not running but moving. Now I almost always carry an AR pistol around with me…just in case.
