Non lead hunting bullet

Barnes Tipped Triple Shock (TTSX or LRX) all day every day. Best hunting bullet in the world. The fact it's lead free is just coincidental.

But it only comes in (100 and) 120grain.
Even though I've only used 140 with superior results I suppose I'd gamble down to 130.

Bear have you (or anyone) tried their LRX bullets? At least that one comes in 127.
The LRX is a 127 grain. Due to the terminal performance of the Barnes bullet, it is common to drop one weight category from lead. A good lead bullet will retain about 70 to 80% of original weight. The Barnes will maintain 99 to 100%. Thus, a 120 grain Barnes bullet equates roughly to a 144 grain lead core bullet.But it only comes in (100 and) 120grain.

I haven't tried the 6.5 LRX. but I have used them in .30 and .338. Accuracy is very good and terminal ballistics (on the .30) seem to be identical to that of the TTSX. I haven't killed anything with the 338 LRX. The LRX is just a TTSX that has a more aerodynamic profile to get a higher BC and it's also designed to reliably expand at lower velocity due to it's intended use for long range hunting.
Barnes all the way, they make awesome bullets that will lay the smack down!
