Now back in the old days when it was drizzling rain, you road real slow down the dirt roads looking for deer to shoot, that was hunting.

I'd much rather stalk deer than sit around waiting on them to stumble by.

Is sitting in a stand waiting on some random deer to pass by and shoot him, hunting or just waiting to ambush him?

If you sit in the woods and wait on a turkey to pass by so you can shoot him, is that really "turkey hunting"?

I agree with you on the stand part. At least with turkey you use the skill of calling. That is unless you use a recorded call.
