I don't think he was rude to you: he was just firmly rejecting your ( lowball? )offer.
$795 or $800-- it doesn't matter; that's basically the same price.
So he didn't really raise the price on U for making a lower offer .
Even so, if that's his attitude he should've said "firm price" in his ad.

P.S. you offered 75% of his asking price. Is that considered lowball or just a standard opening offer and a starting point for negotiations (if the seller is willing to negotiate price)? I don't know. That's a close call.

Low-ball depends on actual value of the gun. If going rate is 750-800 then yeah, 600 is low-ball imho

When folks send a low ball offer on an item I have listed, I simply do not reply. Even if they up the offer, of course they have the right to make a lowball offer, just as I have the right to ignore their complete stupidity.

I would have gone to $700, it was a starting bid. Either way, it's been posted for 2 months and good luck selling a jetski trailer during the winter.

Either way, glad he responded to me in that fashion, now I have no interest in doing business with him.
