I don't think he was rude to you: he was just firmly rejecting your ( lowball? )offer.
$795 or $800-- it doesn't matter; that's basically the same price.
So he didn't really raise the price on U for making a lower offer .
Even so, if that's his attitude he should've said "firm price" in his ad.
P.S. you offered 75% of his asking price. Is that considered lowball or just a standard opening offer and a starting point for negotiations (if the seller is willing to negotiate price)? I don't know. That's a close call.
