How come when I’m on a thread or start my own I get the notifications from the thread in the beginning but then after a while I stop getting notifications that people are still posting ???

If you ignore the notification once and don't open the tread it will stop letting you know people are posting in it. It will start notifying you again if you manual go into the thread to check for updates
not 100% sure but I’m sure I check every notification from the threads I’m in. Like if one random day I just check the thread theirs like a ton of new postings. But then again I could be wrong. Lol.
I feel like it shouldn’t be like that though if that’s the case?
Happens to me all the time. I just end up finding the thread again and checking the updates
OR if someone you ignore replies to a thread you are subscribed to...no more notifications until you go look at the thread again manually.
Ok thanks! That’s more than likely what’s going on. I’m sure I check all my notifications but I got a somewhat good size ignore list
That might be the theory, but that's not the way it actually works.

I get dropped from threads all the time where I have commented. No issues, no one is on ignore - responses just don't show up in my "alerts". This includes threads that I have started. It's not all threads, so I'm not on some supper secret double probation no notification list. I don't see any pattern at all to it, frankly.
