Wet sand with 320 then up to 1500-2000. Use a heavy cut compound and a wool pad on a high speed buffer or buffing wheel on a bench top grinder. Work that til compound breaks down then move to a polish

Pull stock off and clean then Scuff over it and clear coat it. Will look brand new

Thats a problem for most. Nylons are notorious for getting damaged in dis and re Assembly!

I’ve had good luck polishing 3D printed plastic parts with a buffing wheel, loose muslin, and PlastX, a plastic buffing compound from meguiars

not on a 66
but I used the Meguiars PlastX on old MC windshields and it remover scratches and swirls too

I used a headlight restore liquid lightly by hand and then used a turtle way car polish by hand. It took out most of the light rub marks and swirles.

If anyone can restore a 66 to it’s luster then you’re probably going to be rich.....or at least have a good side income. 66’s are tough. I haven’t even found a YouTube on it. That is saying something.
