I live in a a neighborhood that is heavily wooded and live next to several large tracts of woods. I noticed a couple months ago I had an oak that had brown spots on the leaves. Later on I noticed all the oaks on my property had the same thing, hadn’t had rain for several weeks at the time, so I wasn’t too concerned. Now some of the leaves are dying and we’ve had adequate rain for several weeks. I spoke with the landscaper next door and he told me to reach out to the forestry extension. Any advice on who I should contact that cares about trees and the fact that it seems to be spreading amongst hardwoods, especially considering I live next to several hundred acres that are heavily wooded.

*I might add that a neighbors oak on the property line died, sometime after last summer to this spring, it was a 15-20 year old tree that had no apparent reason to die.

We had that Oak fungus come through a couple of years ago. Wiped out quite a few trees before it died down.
I've never seen trees die that fast for any reason.
