to make good boiled peanuts you need a ham hock to go in them gives them an even better taste. I may have to boil some up

When I was a boy, I went to the river fishing every sat with my granddaddy,and his friend—- we would stop by the bait and tackle.and when we walked in he would say give me 2 cups of pinks, and a sack of them penders.I’m guessing that was there name for boiled peanuts

Had a supervisor from Maryland visit me on one of my audits years ago in GA and I happened to be eating boiled peanuts at that moment. He asked what they were so I told him and offered him one to try. He placed a shelled one into his mouth and immediately spit it back out into a napkin, saying that was the nastiest thing he had ever eaten. He never visited me on that audit again. Thanks.
