I lost the receipt, but a lady at san tee cooper cooked some for us and it was great, no fish taste, and she only wanted the filleted back bones, no fillets, she knew what she was doing, was a tomato base stew. Sure you can google it.

Sounds good!!!3 pounds catfish,1/2 pound bacon,1 large onion chopped, 4 or 5 medium potatoes diced,2 celery stalks chopped, 1 quart tomatoes,1/4 cup ketchup, 2 to 3 table spoon Worcestershire sauce , 2 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 table spoon minced garlic, salt and pepper to taste. If using raw fish cut 1 inch squares, boil and save stock need 1 quart fish stock.Brown bacon and leave grease in pan add onions, celery an garlic cook till clear.add potatoes an 1/2 fish stock. Cook potatoes till hafe done an then add remaining fish stock tomatoes an other ingredients except fish and bacon cook about 10 minutes. Add fish and simmer 15 to 30 minutes. Add crumbled bacon and serve over rice or cornbread. Can use left over fried cat fish and 1 quart of chicken stock. Great stored in fridge overnight then reheated next day.
