ODT drama

Nowadays on the ODT, it seems to be more about the money than the hobby.

You are, of course, welcome to your opinion. I really don't see a change. In the beginnings of ODT there were the money hungry, grab a buck, screw everyone else members, just like there are now. Then there were the members who tried to help everyone get more involved in the hobby. There are still those on here now. I am not naive enough to believe that members who sell anything want to lose money on what they sell. I would love to make money on everything I sell, of course that doesn't happen. But I don't set out to lose money on my hobby. If that makes me all about the money, well, I guess I am.

I don't care if I'm the buyer or the seller. Either way I am motivated and will make every effort to make it happen. That said, a seller who makes me feel like it is my privilege to buy from him drives me up a wall.

Agreed.

Case by case basis. If you want something bad and it's a good deal then be willing to drive. Or just be up front on what your terms are. The way I see it is that the deal is between the 2 individuals. Be clear up front, BUT once an agreement is reached stick to it.

Folks just gotta know that generally the more flexible you are the more likely/quicker you are to make a deal.
