Get one of these and leave it where your wife will find it. Wrap some gauze on it and add some ketsup to it. Tell her it quit hurting.

True, but you can wiggle that sucker like a loose tooth.

I recommend that you not wiggle the old nail off. The longer you keep it on the more protection it will provide for the new nail growing in underneath it. I keep mine taped on for as long as I can, Clipped back so it won’t stub easy.

Remember to give it direct sunlight between wrappings, for at least 20 minutes a day. You’ll feel the sun killin the germs and drying the wound.

Some of yall may know we just moved. And we had this damj stove that was rocking from corner to corner. No problem right? Just tip over and adjust the rusty dog hair covered feet. Well when I did that I dropped it about 6" onto my left big toe. So then I had a sock full of blood and my wife and daughter were freaking out. Hurts less now than it did an hour ago. But I know tomorrow will be a different story.
So my question here is am I gonna be one of those guys like my stepfather with a really gross looking big toe for the rest of my life That would suck. Well that's what I get for not having steel toe sneakers on.
