I love the Daily Hunt threads, but I lose track of the Daily Hunts, and progress...
I thought I would start another Thread to try to keep a collective place to add updates. Feel free to add your pics as well if you would like

My son went down to our place in Washington County this weekend.. 2 nice ones were actually seen but not in bow range. What bow foodplots with iron clay peas planted almost a month ago are eaten down to straws, and the rest were burnt pretty bad from virtually no rain..

A few bucks on cam, unfortunately our favorite spot along a creek the camera shut down.. So zero pics from it...

Here’s a few but nothing big.. We need rain bad and a break in temps... Heading down this upcoming weekend, will check weather midweek and may attempt to put in a few gunfoodplots.

I planted some clover yesterday , should have waited. I hope when it does rain it continues otherwise sprout and wilt.
I had a few bucks on camera when I checked yesterday , nice young 8 pointers.

We made the executive decision to purchase a 400 gallon tank yesterday with hose and boom fittings. We will fill it up with water put in the back of the dually and water food plots when down there....

We planted over a ton of seed(34 plots) about 3wks ago and none of them have even come up. Saw about 20 turkeys in one plot yesterday eating the seed.
Anyways I’ve had 3 nice shooters on camera(nice for Floyd co) all summer but since the rain stopped the bucks have all done away. All our big creeks have dried up. We have a few big mud holes that’s till some water in them and there is tracks all around them. This weather has to break and we need rain!! I don’t mind hunting when it’s warm but it darn right hot and miserable. I didn’t even hunt this morning. I’m doing the lazy deer camp day thing today.

My son treated and got a new wireless cam that sends pics to your phone. Our cabin is 2 1/2 hours away from our house, and he thought we would give it a try.. the camera went up this past Sunday..

These pics were taken on Wed around 6 pm...

This is a spot we have been wanting to put a lock on in. Which I bought and we are slipping in there while I will be doing tractor work 100 yards away tomorrow....

So it takes about 27,000 gallons of water to put 1 inch of water on an acre of land. It’s so dry, you will want to put 2 inches. That’s over 54,000 gallons. That’s a lot of trips with a 400 gallon take.

We are just trying to supplement for water and not replace what we traditionally get. These are very small plots

We have nothing greater than probably 1/3 of an acre The well is less than a mile away at our cabin.

So we only need 9000 gallons…

I'm trying to figure out how to pump water from this creek to my food plots. It always seems to have water in it.

Anyway here are two pictures of a 10 pointer. One my neighbor got a picture of and the other is from one of my cameras. We're trying to figure out if it's the same buck. What do y'all think? I'm thinking it is.

If you have some fall, you can use a ram pump to move water. It is gravity operated and requires no external power. It will also lift the water as well as move it.
