......been staying with friends north of Bordeaux in a tiny town that hasn’t caught up with the 21st century yet...........wait, make that 18th century, but did some tourist stuff.......
Came through this little village, didn’t look like it had changed much since the Middle Ages. The church was over 1000 years old but they ran out of money and couldn’t afford the spire...
Lunch, Moules et Frites (Mussles cooked in white wine, onions, herbs and cream and fries and of course a glass of wine) they serve this in paradise........
Oyster huts, they go out in boats and collect the oysters, then come back up the creek at high tide and sell them from the huts.......
The spectacular harbour entrance at La Rochelle and a children’s parade, sad that it had to be guarded by armed soldiers......
