Gold was ahead of the S&P YTD, and TPTB cannot tolerate that kind of signal to the "markets".

Gold and silver are taking a big hit today. Most likely due to the fed meeting ending today. I don't know the results, but evidently not good for PM's. Strengthening of the dollar due to the results?

Fed stated they are going to unwind their balance sheet - however it will be very slowly, and if the "market" tanks, they will quickly reverse course. It was just an excuse to hit metals, like every other Fed announcement.
