Seriously, try a very strong solvent and let it soak, then use plenty of elbow grease. Repeat as many times as required.

I've ended up with a 'commemorative' 1oz 2001 Liberty, looks like a decal or possibly silk screened. Has anyone cleaned one of these back to silver, if so, how ?

If economy keeps booming, silver will fall. Most of the silver now is a by-product of copper mining. Watch copper prices, if demand for copper goes up, silver production will increase as well, driving the silver price down.

It's just an ordinary 2001 Liberty someone put a decal on to make it 'commemorative', so just melt silver value.

I understand that you need to be more cautious with anything with more than bullion value

I'm not really cleaning it as much as removing the decals from each side. I'm pretty sure something like acetone will do it. Off to the garage shelf I go...............
