Seagles have historically pulled a higher price being local, they're the same melt as a lot of others but they get a premium being an American mint.

if you want to see a high, over spot premium, check out Mexican Libertads!!! it's astronomical..
people here will pay more for American silver, it's a simple fact, as it's going now, and always has....the same will be in years to come....now, if the SHTF, and there becomes a barter situation, I think most recognizable silver bullion would trade at the same value..

That’s great info and thanks for sharing. That tells me something because the difference between maple leafs or britannias and eagles is more than that spread. That tells me that eagles aren’t worth it based strictly on price. As of last night eagles were about 42$ and maple leafs 32 ish

just to give you a little perspective on numismatics vs bullion/generics.
the melt value of the graded coin is about 20-21 dollars
the numismatic value is about equal to the melt value of the 3-5oz bars on the right.
like dinky dau said the numismatic market will be gone in 10 or so years.
thats why i have been slowly trading off my graded coins for bullion.

getting close to be buying season again....picked up this 1/2 eagle this weekend....by today's standard I paid too much...BUT you

can't always get it at the bottom!!!
