My glasses aren't red and black (that's just gawdy ) it was honestly the most poorly officiated game I can ever remember seeing. Given what was at stake, everyone can draw their own conclusions about any method to the madness. Flip a coin. Doesn't matter. The outcome is the same.
But yeah, nobody likes a losing team's alum whining after the game no matter how warranted. So I'm happy to take that ball and run with it. This was just WAY over the top.

I agree, that's why I say there's nothing going to change the outcome of last night. But good grief how bout fixing a system that's obviously broken. There at the very least should be some reviewable penalties, and I'm not talking about holding penalties.

Bad calls happen, no game is perfect. We happen to be on the loosing end this time. It sucks but it happens in every sport.

That's true of course, but this wasn't that. That happens in every game. This was blatant.

Not sure what the litmus test is for what is reviewable and what it isn't and I sure don't want a 6 hour game but at the very least, calls should be reviewed after the game and if anything is as blatant as it was last night, those officials should be allowed to "go be successful somewhere else." That was inexcusable.

Oh yeah that's true, and to their credit, Georgia did plenty to beat themselves. They had it and lost it. The blocked punt being taken away was really bad, though...
And again, I won't lose sleep over it. I really don't care about football, or sports in general anymore, but I don't like to see such poor and yes, blatant bad officiating either when I do watch.
The kid OB from Alabama showed heart. What he did wasn't easy on the big stage with practically no experience.

Just like the election........ NOBODY officiating was letting Trump win, but the players(voters) made it happen.

That's my solution as well. There's no way I wouldn't make some serious complaints if I were Kirby Smart.

I doubt he will. It's a good lesson for those kids I suppose. Hate it for the seniors that could have been getting paid more than everyone in this thread combined though. I wish more players would play all 4 and stuff like this sure won't help motivate them.

He's definitely changed over the years, slowly. He used to NEVER tolerate some of the things he does now. He honestly used to seem to be more concerned about discipline and developing the players as young men than winning. I know that may sound strange given his singular focus but it definitely appeared true. Now it seems like he's more concerned about the outcome and less about the journey which is a shame and it seems counterintuitive. His contract is secure until his apparently pending retirement so I don't understand the softening of his stance. You'd think if anything it would go the other way.

I don't know what happened either. I was disappointed in him last night, at least as disappointed as I can be with a football coach. I could not believe he put that guy back in the game after the way he acted on his own sideline. It was disgraceful.

It's about as dramatic a change in apparent philosophy as I can imagine.
