Oil Lamp Hobby

I started a new hobby. Really like oil lamps, their history and continued usefulness in modern society.

Nice ! My mother had a bunch of them that my brother and I split up when she passed. I always have liked oil burning lamps. They are all different.

No bulb will ever be as nice as the warm glow of an oil lamp,

I have a pretty good collection and they recently proved their continued worth when the tornadoes took out the power for a few days.
They're attractive and useful and that's a rarity these days.

I've got about that many sitting around my house. I had about a year long stint of buying at least one everyone I went to an antique store or estate sale. They've come in handy a couple of times and I think they look nice just sitting there. My wife threw the brakes on all that after about 15 or so.
