Okay I'm into watches again. Post your favorite models

Just ordered this one, should be here Sunday. Built like a tank. Actually, one of the endurance tests was running over it WITH a tank. 300M water resistance and other crazy tests they put this through...

Should look awesome with a blue NATO strap.

Must be the case shape but it reminds me of the Tag Aquaracer.

I really don't think my bezel or crystal was scratched. The crown, I can't say but I don't believe it was. But they're covered under the service anyway. But they say the case was scratched...I really don't think it was. The caseback I know had a good scratch in it. Wasn't given an option of opting out of replacing the case. But hey, it's only money right? **** it. Paid. Now I guess I wait 3-4 months.

I used to be friends with the original owner of Macon Gun and Pawn. He had a nice Rolex collection. One day he mentioned picking one of them up after servicing at a local jeweler/watchmaker in Macon. Then I asked why he didn't take it to Reed's Jewelers which at the time was the Rolex AD and literally right behind his shop in the Macon Mall.
I'll never forget him saying " Oh no you don't let the Rolex dealer service your Rolex. They'll take you for a long expensive drag. "

Yeah, the horror stories about Rolex AD's is extensive... Lying to customers, fake waiting lists... Doing social media searches and background checks to determine if they will allow you to buy their watch... And then you get a "service" and it costs you a grand or two...

Little bit. Just got word from Amazon that the seller cancelled my order and refunded me the amount... Not sure why, but its no longer in stock...
One of my oldest (only) friends called me during the week to tell me his Amazon Prime **** would be late due to the weather. Not just a day or two but delayed until AT LEAST October 1st. And that ain't the first time I've heard complaints about Prime. Full disclosure I ****in HATE Amazon. I do much better with ebay and Walmart.com. But if Amazon can't get your **** to you on time like they promised then why are you paying for Prime.

I use Prime almost every day, but 20% of the time they lose my packages or they show up late. But to be fair, the same happens with UPS or Fedex... So no matter where I order from, it has a good chance of getting lost or at least late...

Quick video of the Tissot I picked up today over at a place in Dawsonville... Tripp and Company, its in the strip mall next to the Publix just south of the 400 and 53 interchange, They have a pretty impressive inventory of G-Shock, Hamilton, Seiko, Bulova, Citizen, Tissot, Alpina, etc...

This thing is gorgeous, and I got the last of the Ruby Red model that was recently discontinued, and he knocked $100 off.

I don't dig chronographs since they have busy/cluttered looking dials. With the one exception being the Monaco. But I will go on the record as saying that Tissot and specifically the Seastar HAS TO BE the best deal going as far as Swiss divers. I have looked at the Oris Aquis for years. But the Seastar scratches that itch for well under half the price.

Yeah, its a good movement, 300M water resistance, great bezel action and the dial is just gorgeous... It will be pretty high in my rotation I am sure.

They started sooner than I thought. We will see how long until I get it back but I'm happily surprised today.
