Not my photo but same model Seiko I bought recently. Japanese market model, titanium, solar. Not very expensive so I don’t need to worry about it or get a rider on my insurance. Just a watch.

Not my photo but same model Seiko I bought recently. Japanese market model, titanium, solar. Not very expensive so I don’t need to worry about it or get a rider on my insurance. Just a watch.
I went to the flagship Seiko store in Tokyo. Grand Seiko and King Seiko models were very cool, but I wasn’t looking to spend that much.
Got this one the other day, really liking the retro vibes of it

It kinda reminds me of the Omega Speed master Racing
Yeah... Omega ultimately won the NASA contract for the Apollo missions, but Bulova had competed for it as well, so the designs were similar... Bulova did provide instrumentation for the lunar module, and they have the honor of being the second watch to be out on the moon for a moon walk(Heehee!)
Another similar and affordable alternative to the Omega, is the Seiko Speedtimer that came out in 1969, and has been reissued a few times now. Their current iteration is very nice, and has solar power so you just set it and forget it...
Yeah, I have the Bulova Moonwatch
Same one I have, with the carbon fiber looking strap, plus a velcro NATO that came in the box? Love that thing, just wish it had more than 5ATM water resistance...
