Okay I'm into watches again. Post your favorite models

It's like Christmas from Moscow...

Buford highway farmers market right now. Lol.

I also ordered one of these for S&G. I think the music is a little pretentious for a $20 Chinese automatic with a "not a tourbillon" open heart dial.

For some reason I have a screaming craving for a REAL tourbillon. But I lack the bank for it. LOL.

I got a steal on one of these(I hope).

Bulova Precisionist Champlain.

That's pretty sweet and real complicated looking. While we were at Jekyll getting my face and neck a nice shade of dark pink my wife asked me what I wanted for Father's Day. I told he " Vostok is fine." She didn't get it. Then she asked why I wanted another one. What can I say I'm hooked on these commie watches. I'm ordering the original 1967 style Amphibia with the blue scuba dude face. Add a big mesh bracelet and it's very retro looking.

What's your opinion on the Deep Blue line? I like a good bit of what I see there.

I've never owned, or even handled one. But from what I can see they seem to be a tier above Invicta/Swiss Legend etc. The ones I am looking at say they are Swiss Made, not Swiss Movmt or Swiss parts. And they have Sapphire crystals, which is both good and bad. Usually I consider a sapphire crystal all but a deal breaker. But on a dive watch rated to 500 meters, mineral is actually better. However, unless you actually plan to dive Sapphire is fine and for day to day nothing beats sapphire. From the ones I see, they have ETA 2824 automatic movements. A real plus. Most of my automatics have been Seiko NH35 or NH36 movements. Overall, I'd say that if I spotted a Deep Blue in a style I liked at a price I liked, I'd jump on it without hesitation.

Brands I've owned and my personal feelings about them:

Tissot - LOVE them. Of the two watches I will never stop kicking myself for selling, my Tissot Couturier automatic is #2. My current T-Touch makes me smile every time I wear it.

Maurice Lacroix - The Pontos Titanium Automatic is the other one(and the MAIN one) I will kick myself forever for selling. What a great timepiece it was. Well, still is, just on someone else's wrist. Light, clean and artistically designed. If I ever trip over another one when I can grab it I'll keep it until they pry it off my mummy.

Jean Richard - My Aeroscope Automatic Titanium was a fine watch and I may one day try to get it back but the lume on it was sad. It had black hands/indices and they glowed briefly after MUCH light. Other than that a damn fine watch...soo expensive though.

Tag Heuer - LOVED my Aqua Racer. Now the wife likes it and I miss it. My Formula one never made it to my watch case but the wife likes it too. LOL.

Oris - My TT1 is an understated masterpiece. This is one my widow will sell. Smooth sleek and fantastic.

Citizen - Great brand. I bought one used on eBay and the bracelet was too small. I called them to order a link and they sent me three for free. Another one needed repairs and thy did bill me but replaced the crystal, cleaned it, charged the cell and shipped it back for $50. Eco Drive is the best thing to ever happen to watches... maybe even better than automatics. Maine detraction is mineral crystals. I scratched a Nighthawk the first week I owned it. $50 at the local jeweler to replace it and the jackass put a fingerprint UNDER the new crystal.

Seiko - Excellent watches but Kinetic is less efficient than automatic or eco drive. From dead, you have to go crazy on it to get it started. With automatic, you can usually just wind it a bit and, of course eco drive is just light. Also, Seiko, like Citizen is not big on Sapphire Crystals.

Reactor - I wanted a Flux so bad I couldn't stand it. Then I ended up getting an MX(6 tritium canisters but no luminova), A digital Heavy Water(cool watch) and a Gamma Titanium because I wanted the ND(Never Dark). The ND is luminova AND tritium. The Gamma has 6 tritium canisters plus triple layered luminova at every hour and on the bezel at the 60 position. Reactors also have triple Orings on the stem so even if you forget to screw the crown down, they are water resistant to 100 meters.

Swiss Legend - some good looking watches but mostly bad experiences. Something would break or just not function right. Gave up on them.

Redline - Nice watches but it seemed like no matter what style I got they were always uncomfortable for one reason or other. For instance, one had a silicone strap which was fine but the buckle was bigger at the smaller end of the strap and always poked my wrist annoyingly. Little stuff but not worth sticking with the brand.

Brandt & Hoffman - UNDERRATED. Really nice watches for the price point. I had three of them and they were all well executed and well designed.

Invicta - Some folks hate them but all I had except a couple(and I probably had a dozen) were really comfortable, and looked great. I still have my Sub Aqua Noma I and love it. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another depending on the model, movement and price.

Aragon/Android - LOVE them. I own three still. Was at 6 or 7 for a while. SOLID! Well executed and durable. Whenever I go to Florida, be it Sea World's Discovery Cove or a water park or the beach, I wear an Aragon. One has a NH35 automatic movement, one a Swiss Ronda 8040N and one is a Swiss 9100 quartz. I have had several of the Pre-Aragon Android watches and they are usually very cool designs and very solidly built. If I ever DO break down and get a tourbillon it will probably be an Android.
