I know some of you guys are very knowledgeable about this stuff. Anyways a have a full box of 38 special wad cutters and I can very little infomation on it. I'm not wanting to shoot it by any means, just wondering it's age. Thanks in advance for any help.

It looks likes late 70s-- early 80s vintage to me.
Since it's not from a major brand manufacturer, but just some local or regional commercial reloading facility, I don't think it has any collectors value.

Shoot it.

Or save it for taking women kids and persons who are recoil shy shooting. Those 148 Gr. wadcutters tend to be really mild.

Shot my share of this stuff back in the day :0)

A friend of mine had older brothers that had thousands of rounds . He would bring over a hundred or so an we'd burn through them with my Blackhawk ...

Good times !

Shoot it. I got some old 45 ammo made in the 60's.... loaded it up and shot every round no problem from an old 1911. It shot fine...seemed to smoke a bit more than newer ammo, but shot fine as I recall.

star was mainly a lead bullet maker.. Swaged bullets.. competed directly with Zero .. Their 38 wadcutters were excellent as well as their 45 SWC.. I still have some of both.
