A while back l found out my grandmother has some old coins. She lives in a nursing home and I've been trying to convince my mom to get them from her. I would hate for them to get stolen. It's a huge sack of silver dollars and half dollars. Piles of pennies nickel and dimes from the late 1800's. But then there's 2 gold coins. They're pretty neat. I'm going to try to do some research on them. But if anyone here knows anything about them l would appreciate the help.

Good luck to you.... I am doing something similar with some Silver Squared Quarters my mother in law found during her relocation to Georgia.

I'm a fairly accomplished collector, but would rather see you do your research, it's a great hobby.
The ANA (American Numismatic Association) is having their annual National Money Show at the Cobb Galleria from 27-29 Feb.
There is a young collectors workshop (coin collecting merit badge for scouts) on Saturday morning 9-11:30 am. Young doesn't need to mean age, insert "new" coin collectors to be more accurate. I think you will find alot of information at the seminar. Bring some of your coins and they will grade them.
I can't make the Saturday event but will attend Thursday or Friday.
In case you haven't been told - don't clean them!!
Good luck.
