Depending on what you call "fat", and depending on what you call "old", I would think that you may want to worry more about your heart kicking it before an assailant's bullet/knife/machete/fist etc. arrives in a confrontational situation.

I've been on the ODT off and on since 2010 and I think ODT membership is around 50,000 plus but I have not yet heard of anyone having to actively use their weapon in self defense. (I am sure y'all will let me know if I missed anything ).

Play the odds in the name of comfort. A pocket pea shooter is better than nothing and the possibility of your having to use it is slim to none, unless you hang out with the drinkers and druggies in the bad parts of town.

I'm 5'7" 190 pounds, and carry either a Glock 19 or a Kimber 1911 5". Either one in an OWB holster, just wear a loose fitting shirt.

When I wear shorts and t shirt, my Shield IWB and a LCP in my front pocket.........
