Old home site.

While turkey hunting today, I noticed some daffodils in the middle of the woods. They don't grow in the middle of nowhere by happenstance.
I began looking around and found the ruins of an old home site. Theres even some Ivy vines growing on the trees around the foundation.
Pretty cool find if you ask me.

Yesterday I found an old cabin that pancake collapsed too. This was a few miles away from the foundation.

There is something about old home places thats kinda eerie and peaceful too. Always enjoy finding those areas when out hunting.

Hunting club I’m associated with stumbled upon the Meriwether Lewis old homesite couple years ago, less than half-mile from our camp.

I like to think that I’m the first person to discover a new spot but that’s far from the truth. There’s been many to step there before me.
