Old Plymouth Fury I

Talk about huge....learned to drive and sported a Fury III wagon in high school. Party wagon.

Big enough to be one for sure. Dad bought it in 1965 for family trips. Had the 383 and ran pretty good. My dad was always a Mopar guy. He had several other Chrysler and Plymouth land yachts after this one.

The old blue Fury I in the OP doesn't look all that big.
I wouldn't call it a land yacht.

That Fury III station wagon, however, reminds me of the Griswold family wagon.

I like that station wagon. I remember an old guy pulling up with a later Fury. The thing looked like it had a 6-foot hood. Probably more metal in the hood of that car then in a complete car nowadays. My dad had a 69 LTD Ford Country Squire in metallic blue with faux wood siding. I've always wanted one.

Appears to be a '67 or '68.

Don't think it is a 1960. I had a 2dr 1960 with a push-button transmission. First new car I ever bought.

I had a 71Ford wagon 460. Last year for 11:1 compression. It would hold half of Mexico and haul a locomotive. Got about 8 mpg.

My favorite year is the 1963 sport fury. I love those cars. You can see the obvious short wheel base for drag racing. My first car was a 1967 Belvedere ll. 1980 dodge prism pearl white with honey comb wheels on it. It was a slick looking car. I love the old Mopars. I had four old Mopars I would give my I teeth to have now.

I know what you mean. The Mopar pull was strong in my family growing up. I had a '70 Cuda 383 just like this one back in the day.
