Yeah it can be rough here in the summertime with no ac. And in parking lot traffic..
Best part was the passenger window handle broke off and chick I was dating couldn’t work vise grips. She was sweating her ass off.

The interior is from the Chevy my uncle bought new in 81
It’s slowly evolved into a 70s time machine
The other day He mentioned wanting to find some sidepipes
Wonder what ever happened to all the cool custom vans from the 70s?
I’ve regretted selling every old car I’ve ever sold
LS engine swap, 5 speed, AND vintage air, that is SWEET!!! Yeah I bet that wasn't cheap, but great result!

We Probabaly got $10-12 k in it
I didn’t save any receipts
Truck was $1600 , bought it off CL from a horse ranch
Transport from AZ $800
Master cylinder gave out right after we backed it off the trailer
Turned out it had a Arizona state issued VIN riveted in the door frame and all the other numbers on the engine trans and frame have been ground off
Title says it a 1980
But we know the cab is a 76-77
The doors are from a 73
Radiator support is from a 80
The dash and seats and door panels are from a 82
Spent several hundred on the old engine , added TBI etc
Swapped the granny 4 speed for a 5 speed from a 07 Silverado
Old 350 finally blew
Paid $500 for a 5.3 from a 02 pickup
And a bunch more for all the motor mounts and new fuel tank and lines etc
$1,700 for vintage air
$2000 for all new springs, bushings and shocks
Bout $500 for new wood and bolts and metal strips for the bed
$1500 for axles after kept breaking the rear stock 10 bolt
$400 for the slot mags
$1000 for the tires
Couple hundred for the roll bar , no idea what it supposed to fit , we had to widen it 7” to fit
Few hundred for dyna Mat and carpet
Etc etc
It never ends with a 45 yr old vehicle
But my son learned how to do a lot of work on it
He did the welding for the floor repair where the previous owners had swapped the floor pans
He used a router and table saw to make the wood planks for the bed floor
He did all the wiring harness modifications for the LS computer
So neither Mrs roundhouse or I thought it was wasted money
