I thought I was doing pretty good to acquire a decent
1960 J.C. Higgins Model 31 22LR-22L-22S semi-auto.
That makes it 60 y/o and both Sears and High Standard
are long gone. Then ODT's century old gun thread opened.
I'm 40 yrs short for membership in the century club.
But yippee! Higgy still goes bang and metal isn't so old
I have to squint in case it blows up. Now pass the ammo.

My great grandfather single barrel, Fulton armory 12Ga. It has a damascus barrel. Believe to be early 1900's.

I’ve got a Swiss Vetterli that’s from about 1873.
