Olin and Vista Outdoors

I saw a commentator on CNBC recommend buying Olin OLN, said he thinks that the per share price could triple in the coming months. It got me also thinking about Vista Outdoor VSTO. Both of these companies are experiencing incredible ammo sales and are able to raise there margins considerably during this time. It may be a good short term stock pick? I don't buy or recommend gun or ammo stocks long term, but short term may be a good call??? Especially Since Vista just got Remington's/Lonoke's ammunition brands also.

Vista does not own Remington ammo until the judge approves it on Tuesday. They are doing well but Vista just lost the Lake City ammo contract to run the plant to Winchester. This may be why Olin is a better bet

Yeah, I would keep away from Vista until they decide who they want to be.

They shed Smith and Wesson because the earthy-crunchy types wouldn't buy any Vista products and pressured companies like REI to drop them because they were a gun company.

If they become an ammo company, those same people will pull the same thing again.

Wow - since I made this post Olin is up 40% and Vista is up 11%

Olin is up 49% in less than a month, nice run so far. Wish I bought more. Lol

Sturm Ruger is also likely to be a good bet in the short term.
