Olympic curling?

Could someone explain to me the object of "curling" the sport, game, whatever it is in layman's terms. Heck, I enjoy watching it, but I'd at least like to know the object of the game .

Its like team shuffleboard. But on ice...with scrapers to angle your shot...

Makes you wonder who thought golfing would be interesting...

They said that a member of one of the teams was caught dopeing, I wonder what substance would make you use something that looks like an Leon and broom better, and would my wife taste it in her drink?
