Looking for suggestions here-
I have an Omni Maxx polymer AR pistol, and I'm trying to remove the barrel.
It's on tight (new from the factory) and I would normally heat the barrel and barrel nut to break the loctite (I assume they used it), but I'm concerned that it would damage the polymer upper.
(The same goes for any solvents that I might use).

Anyone have experience with this?

Try using a reaction rod and heat on the barrel nut. The polymer lowers are not as strong as aluminum. The rod holds the barrel and transfers stress to metal and not plastic.

I have a Real Avid Lug-Lok- seems to be similar to the reaction rod. I'll see what I can do.

I’m an M16/AR Armorer and happy to look at it for you.

With a polymer AR, even though I have never broken an upper removing a barrel, I will not guarantee it won’t happen.

Why are you removing the barrel?
