My current (and only) wife and I started dating in 1976 while in high school. Got married in 1982 while I was a 2-striper in the Air Force. June 12th will be 38 years married.

Disposable wasn't an option. We had good times and bad times. I did a lot of stupid stuff. She raised two children, sold two houses and kept things going. Wouldn't trade her for anything.

I never thought of marriage as disposable. Unfortunately I came across two women that didn't feel the same.

One gave me a great son. The second one gave me an appreciation for what is really important in a life partner.

So I'm on #3... wish she had been #1. My only regret is the 20 yrs I missed with her.
