Nope, I didn't see that coming. Wouldn't be cheaper, but get you 8 3/8 Smith 686. That would be a fine pistol. I'd have a 8 3/8, but you really don't get any ballistic advantage over a 6. 357 is a little limited. But that long barrel would be cool.

If someone wanted one for deer hunting, I figure laying one of those long barrels on a sandbag would be like cheating.
