only one gun to do all

You can argue all you want, but the correct answer is a 12 gauge with a bunch of birdshot, buckshot, and slugs.

I have more than one Ar15, Glock 30, 8mm mauser, a numerous semi pistols in 9mm and 380.
I know I'm opening Pandora's box but my choice would be my 9mm Hi Point carbine. Light, short, ammo and mags are plentiful, shoots every time, and not concerned if it gets a little dirty :behindsofa:

I have one of the older Savage 24V with a .30/.30 barrel over a 12 ga. barrel with a red dot optic on top. I bought cailber inserts in .22 and also centerfire calibers for it just in case.

I vote 12 Gauge all the way. Mine does it all. You can make it into a musket if you have to. Load with powder and rocks and it will still work. LOL.

S&W AR15/22. Can carry a lot of ammo in 30rd mags which would not be heavy. Takes down if needed. I have 2 both very accurate and dependable. Mine have never failed and probably only clean them every 1500 rods or so and they keep running. Not ammo finicky. I shoot the small metal animal silhouettes at 50 yrs off hand with iron sights and have no problem hitting them.
