only one gun to do all

Y'all will have a tough time hitting flushing quail with a .22.

Yes.... While they are flushing and trying to get a bead on em and they are going g round and round the bowl ..... Then you fire and miss the quail and it ricochets off the ceramic and hits you in the knee ....then it goes on down the drain ...... Better get a shotgun aye ? :behindsofa:

I worry about carrying more water than ammo. At least initially. Till I find a good water source, then purify it, then move on.

If I have to carry more than 100 of anything g, I must be doing it wrong. No way in hell do I want to be in a firefight.

Ammo weight + pack + water + gear.... Just saying...esp if you have to hump a long distance and don't train regularly with it.

Only cuz I am out of shape ;)

But I weighed my stuff...over 70lbs. Too much to carry, sacrifices have to be made somewhere. It is all I am suggesting, that is all.

70lbs is close to a combat load, w/o weapons , but that was 20 + years ago.. but I'm in shape tho, because round is a shape..LOL

I prefer oval as a shape ;)

I have never served, so I am going by what I have done with backpacking trips in the past. Lighter the better...That is my frame of reference.

Now, staying put... Totally different ball game. And that is where my divulgence of info stops :p

Ruger 10-22 Take Down all-weather, two BX-25 mags, 1-10 rd. mag, and about 3000 rounds of ammo split between solid points and HPs.
